EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma, anxiety, panic, disturbing memories, PTSD, and other stuck emotional difficulties. Clients report a significantly lessened “charge” around once-disturbing memories and traumatic experiences.

The process of EMDR uses bilateral stimulation in the form of eye movements, tapping or tones, to help the client move from what is stored in the brain as an “island of trauma” to a more integrated neural network. We are laying down new tracks, so to speak, in a more functional manner. Find out more about what an EMDR session looks like.
